ABOUT FITNESS SCHEDULE KIDS / AMATEUR PROFESSIONAL BOXING STORE DONATE TO NON PROFIT

B Street offers a competitive amateur boxing program. To start is as easy as 1. 2. 3.

1. Come to B Street with a parent or guardian (if you are under 18 years of age).
2. Try a few classes and decide if competition is right for you.
3. Talk with Eddie about joining B Street’s team.

Steps for competition:

To compete as an amateur boxer one must first obtain a USA Boxing Passbook. The passbook is in essence an amateur boxing license. All pertinent information of a boxer’s bouts will get recorded into the passbook, including dates, location, type of show, weights, opponents, and results. In order to get a passbook go to usaboxing.org, then follow these steps:

1. Click on membership
2. In the drop down menu under membership click on registration
3. Click new members
4. Fill out online form and pay $63.00
5. Print out receipt

After those steps are completed you will need to get a physical from a doctor (only an MD will suffice. Not a chiropractor or a nurse practitioner.) The following is a link to the form you will need to bring to the doctor.

Mail the USA Boxing registration receipt, the physical examination form completed by the doctor, a copy of your birth certificate, and two passport sized photos of your face to:

CN Lopez
2455 Ocala Ave
San Jose, CA 95122

You will receive you passbook in 10 to 14 days after which you are eligible for competition. Of course, being eligible does not necessarily mean you are ready. This is only the starting point of your journey.
