2010 Golden Gloves
Eddie Croft’s B Street Boxing made a big hit at the 2010 Northern California Golden Gloves.
B Street came into the tournament with 8 boxers, 5 in the novice division and 3 in the open division. 4 of the 8 boxers, Ricardo Pinell, Clinton Nelson, Michelle Paredes, and Courtney Ogawa, advanced to the regional championships, which will be held in Tulare, California, on March 20th. In two tough bouts, middleweight, Ricardo Pinell, beat fighters with substantially more ring experience than himself. Impressively, heavy weight, Clinton Nelson won with a crowd pleasing, 3rd round knockout. Coach, Eddie Croft , a native of San Mateo, started his amateur boxing career as a three time Golden Gloves Champion, acting as a catalyst to a dynamic professional career.
This September, B Street Boxing hosted its first International Boxing Show at the Irish Culture Center. Ireland’s top team, the Geesala Boxing Club, consisting of 16 National Champions, flew across the pond to duke it out with the best in Northern California! It was a packed house with over 600 fans. Hope to see you at B Street’s next event!
